I am Shirknives aka Mehrshad Taghinejad the proud owner of this little Business.  I create high performance kitchen knives in the beautiful City of Witten in Germany. I have always been in love with cooking and kitchen cutlery and because of that developed a passion for collecting such items, which slowly over the years switched to making my own.

What started out as a hobby, making knives for myself and for the close people around me got to the point where pieces of my work can be found on almost all continents of our planet. This development makes me absolutely proud and motivates me to keep pushing the limits.

Japanese Knifemaking and craftsmanship are a great inspiration and influence regarding my work. The grade of perfection put into the work  there has always amazed me

Over the Years I have developed my own style and mixed that into my work to make one of a kind kitchen cutlery.
One of my biggest goals is to make the best product I can. In order to achieve that I try to keep every single step of the production in house and in my own hands.
Every part of the production process is thought out well with the aim of providing my customers with a Piece of Art that  performs outstanding and also withstands the test of time.

To be able to fulfill these expectations i continously learn and adapt new techniques. Getting used to the skillset I have without further expanding my boundaries is no option for me.
